Höhere Amperezahl egal bei Netzteil ?

Hi

Hab da ne Frage, die Suche hat leider nix gebracht..
Also ich habn Effecktgerät das braucht 12 Volt und 750 mA ( steht jedenfalls beim Steckereingang )
nun hab ich nur eins mit 12 Volt und 1200 mA...

Mehrere Leute haben mir bestätigt dass die mA Zahl nur die Mindestzahl des Gerätes betragen muss, alles was mehr sei sei egal..
Jetzt meinen aber die Leuts aus meiner Band, dass das Gerät dadurch kaputt gehen kann..


Was ist nun wahr ?
Darf das Netzteil mehr mA liefern als benötigt werden ?
