4/5 Sternen!
Einen Bericht möchte ich mal zitieren:
\"
Ive owned any and every amp ever made it seems. I have been a hardline Marshall, Mesa, Soldano guy for the past 15 years. Recently I started getting back into the band scene, and I started looking at tube amps. What I found, is that anything Marshall these days really sucks and is WAY overpriced. (Same for Mesa or Soldano for that matter!) I simply refuse to pay $1,000+ dollars so I can say my amp was made in England or that it has tubes. So I was left with little choices in what I could get. I owned a Line 6 Flextone II, but it was very unreliable, and the sound began to actually hurt my ears at high volumes. I also hated the digital clipping that occured during quick chord changes.
Peaveys have always been a joke to me. We used to laugh at the poor saps who couldnt afford Marshalls that got stuck with a Peavey. The distortions always sounded like a swarm of pissed off bees. I was looking for a good practice amp the other day, and was pretty dissapointed. I tried a Line 6 Flextone IIs again, a Tech 21, Fender Cyber-Twin, and Mesa Nomad, and they just didnt have what I needed. I wanted a (tubeless) amp that had a killer distortion, some basic effects I wouldnt need a rack to keep them in, and I really wanted an excellent sound. On a whim I plugged in to the Transformer 212, and thought it sounded okay, but the price was a little too high for a Peavey. I then tried the new XXL head, but didnt want the hassles of a half stack in my house.
As a last resort, I tried the Transtube 212 EFX and was strangely impressed. A Peavey that sounded good? This couldnt be right. So I had my salesman put me in a quiet room with it for an hour, and I couldnt believe what I was hearing! I really think that Peavys marketing leaves a lot to be desired, because these amps are a well kept secret. I really wish theyd change their look and try to modernize thier image, becase the amps they make noe arent much different from those of 10-15 years ago, and I think that the legacy of thier old amps still follows them today becase of it. If you are looking for a versatile, reliable amp with a good sound and some effects give this amp a try. If you can get over the name on the grill, you might just like it.
Its well worth the cost of amps 3 times the money.\"
\"Power Dynamics Function (10%-100%): The power dynamics function is really cool for guys like me that live in an apartmentl; cant play loud; but still desire to have the sound quality of an amp cranked up really loud.\"
