Overdrive ist eigentlich das Uebersteuern der Endstufe (Amp aufreissen), Distortion das Uebersteuern der Vorstufe, z.B. mit Effektgeräten.

High Gain ist, wie der Name schon sagt, ein Zacken heftiger. Bei billigen Amps klingt High Gain schnell einmal nach Soundbrei. Beim Screamer klingt es perfekt... vor allem für eine verzerrte Lead-Gitarre, daher die Bezeichnung Lead-Channel. Hier drückt jeder einzelne Ton klar und deutlich raus, sofern man denn mit der entsprechend klaren Spieltechnik zu Wege geht.

Ich hab den Screamer nun seit ca. einem halben Jahr und bin nur mit dem Crunch-Kanal nicht ganz zufrieden. Dafür schalte ich aber einfach einen Marshall Guvnor Bodentreter vor den Clean-Kanal und hab alles, was der Gitarrist so braucht.
