Ich würde sagen, Alternative Rock ist das hirngefurze eines/einiger Musik Redakteure.
Alternative Rock ist keine Musikrichtung, sondern soll einfach nur einen Gegenpol zu Mainstream Rock bilden.
Selbst der Schreiberling, der das Wort irgendwann zusammen gesponnen hat, wird es dir nicht wirklich erklären können oder schwer in Erklärungsnot kommen, wenn genauer nachgehakt wird. Wink
